Popsugar is the Planet Fitness of the writer's market. (If that doesn't make sense to you, let's just say that PF gives members free pizza, kicks members out if they lift very heavy weight or wear tank tops showing buff bodies, and sounds a screaming siren that's triggered if a man grunts while lifting. Their front desk actually gets complaints by female members claiming to be "intimidated" by any man with muscles who's using heavy weight).

Even the name, "Popsugar," implies fluff.

Years ago I contacted Popsugar twice about writing opportunities, and they never responded. At the time, I was alaready a very seasoned, experienced writer. Since then I've realized it's a fluff site with a cutesy, patronizing slant.
